Style is important. Especially when you are working on a big kitchen remodel and don’t want to go through all that time and money to get appliances that work but don’t look good.

They should work, of course, but they should also look good doing their thing. Luckily, GE appliances give you the best of both worlds: Not only are they high quality appliances, but they also look great getting the job done, especially if you go with their slate finish.

No matter the reason you are searching for new appliances, GE’s slate options will meet your needs, and then some! Here are just a few reasons why you shouldn’t pass on being great with slate.

No More Matching Game

Whether you are replacing one appliance – or are looking to replace all of your kitchen appliances – making sure everything matches is important. Nobody wants a kitchen that is mismatched or looks like a bunch of jumbled ideas thrown together.

For that reason, theming and coloration are important. And slate really is a chameleon color – it will fit in no matter what the rest of your collection looks like. Worried about how it will look next to cabinets or your floors? Spoiler alert: Slate will fit in perfectly with whatever styles you have picked to center your kitchen space around!

If you are starting from scratch however, slate also gives you a good base to start from. From there you can further develop how you want the rest of the kitchen to look. And, if you are looking for other ideas, check out these Slate Mood Boards that GE put together.

Color possibilities aren’t the only benefits of GE Slate appliances – we don’t want to focus too much on form over function here. With your GE Slate appliances, you are also going to have plenty of quality-of-life improvements, as well -- You aren’t sacrificing substance for style. Slate is also only available with GE, so you’ll always get the quality that you know and love!

On the baking side, a GE Slate double wall oven give you a wealth of features, including true European convection and a huge cooking capacity. And with all Slate finish appliances there’s another really impressive bonus: It hides fingerprints, so you won’t have to waste all of your cooking time cleaning up.

Of course, if you are looking to upgrade and not sure where you need to start, don’t let home renovations overwhelm you! Stop in today and our knowledgeable appliance experts will be glad to help you figure out what you need to get started with your renovation, and also help you find the best GE Appliances to fit your unique needs and budget.

Don't Sleep on Slate: How to Incorporate GE Slate-Finish Appliances in Your Kitchen

When you're upgrading your home with a laundry pair from Samsung, make sure you have a convenient space that makes laundry day easier! Here are our favorite places to stash a laundry pair.

When purchasing a home, it’s not always a first thought to make sure there is a room specifically for the laundry machines. Generally, there will always be a setup in the garage for you to fall back on, but going out to the garage can be very inconvenient for washing clothes. From it being too hot or too cold, to just feeling isolated, cleaning your clothes in the garage can be a bit uncomfortable. For those of you wanting to get a new Samsung Laundry Pair and place them in a brand new area, here are a few setups that would help maximize your space to the fullest.

Hallway Closet

This laundry pair placement is usually the go-to after the garage. If you have a large hallway closet that can fit two Samsung laundry machines, you should take full advantage of it. We are proud to offer Samsung washers of all sizes from 4.3 cu. ft. to 5.0 cu. ft. so you’ll be able to go as compact or as large as you want in order to accommodate your space. This is a fantastic place to put your laundry pair because the closet keeps you in the house, and it usually connects rooms together, making it an easy place to drop off dirty clothes. Store your winter coats and everything else you had previously in your hallway closet somewhere else. It’s just too good of a spot to give up!

Mudroom

Not everyone has a mudroom, but if you do, placing your washer and dryer pair in it would be a convenient idea. The mudroom is located near an entryway of the home, making it the perfect place to remove clothes and wash them immediately. It’s a place that is meant specifically for removing your shoes and other dirty garments before tracking the mess they bring into the rest of the house.

For example: If you have dirty socks, just take them off and throw them in the wash. If you want a warm jacket before going out in the cold, throw it in the dryer for a couple minutes before leaving. It’s right there allowing you to keep your home immaculate by not tracking in wet, dirty clothes from the rain.

Bathroom

You’re probably thinking that adding a laundry duo to a bathroom seems icky. We get it, there’s a toilet in there and having that next to your clean clothes sounds just wrong. But, let’s think about the positives. You’ll be able to throw a load of laundry in on the Super Speed feature, and by the time you’re done getting ready for the day, it’ll be done! Not to mention, you’ll prevent your bathroom from ever getting littered in clothes and towels. You could even warm your towel up by tossing it in the dryer and pulling it out so it’s nice and warm when you’re done.

Kitchen

Putting your washer and dryer in the kitchen may seem like a counterintuitive idea, but it’s actually rather functional! Especially if you have a small space, putting your Samsung Laundry Pair in the kitchen can help keep your home open. Depending on the way your kitchen is set up, this could require a little construction to ensure your washer and dryer is pushed back against the wall and out of the way. You could even go with a Samsung compact laundry pair to help increase the space of your kitchen and avoid another crammed room. Not to mention, you could make breakfast for the kids and get some laundry done at the same time!
